AllVanilla Dungeons Enhanced with Custom Quests
Every single vanilla dungeon in Turtle WoW has been enhanced with custom quests from the Turtle WoW team β not just the new content. The Deadmines has new quests. Shadowfang Keep has new quests. Scarlet Monastery has new quests. Every instance gives you reasons to return that Classic WoW simply doesn't have.
On top of that, eight entirely new 5-man dungeons have been designed and built from scratch or from cut Blizzard content β filling level gaps that vanilla WoW always had and adding new endgame content at 60 that runs parallel to the vanilla raid progression.

The undisputed best custom dungeon on Turtle WoW according to community rankings. Set inside the walled city of Gilneas, the dungeon follows the political collapse of the Greymane royal family and the dark forces that have taken root since the gates were sealed. Atmosphere, boss design and quest storytelling are all exceptional.
Notable quests: The Judge and the Phantom, Genn Greymane Must Die!, The Wolf the Crone and the Scythe (part of the server-wide Scythe of Elune legendary questline). One player described it as "only dungeon that made me actually read every quest text box since 2005."

The infamous cut dungeon β the eerie catacombs beneath Karazhan that exist as an inaccessible shell in the retail game files, hinting at content Blizzard never completed. Turtle WoW finished it. Described as having a "Naxxramas-like atmosphere" β dark, oppressive, legitimately unsettling. Difficulty: Dire Maul+, expected clear 2-3 hours.

Custom Quest Addon Is Essential
Install Speedz1337's Dungeon Quest Guide for Custom Content from the forums. This is a comprehensive, regularly-updated list of every custom quest added to every dungeon in the game. Without it, you will frequently enter dungeons without key quests picked up, miss questline chains that start inside instances, and leave with significantly less XP and items than you should have gotten. The community considers this addon non-negotiable for dungeon content.
Don't Boost, Don't Get Boosted
Turtle WoW explicitly discourages boosting β having a high-level player kill everything while you follow. XP from grouped content is reduced when high-level players are in your group. Beyond the XP reduction, the community considers it against the spirit of the server. Run dungeons with players near your own level. You'll get better XP, better teamwork experience, and a much more satisfying experience overall.
Pick Up Everything Before You Enter
Before entering any dungeon, check if there are quests available for it in the relevant city or zone. Many dungeon quests are picked up outside β you cannot get them once inside. Use pfQuest-Turtle to see dungeon quest markers on your map. Some quests have prerequisites that are easy to miss if you rush to the dungeon entrance without exploring the surrounding zone first.
