Scarlet Monastery: Armory

Recommended levels, location and preparation for an ordinary Scarlet Monastery: Armory group—not a boosted carry.

The short recommendation

Armory is a direct Scarlet wing ending at Herod and requires the Scarlet Key or suitable Lockpicking. The main risk is the post-Herod trainee wave: killing the boss is not the end of the encounter, so recover and prepare for the room to fill.

Choose the run before inviting

Standard Armory

Long soldier corridor → training grounds → Herod.

Quest completion

Herod counts for the faction capstone quests shared with other wings.

Scarlet set farm

Many trash pieces are random drops; repeated clears do not guarantee a complete set.

Before travelling

  1. Confirm one player has the Scarlet Key from Library or adequate Lockpicking.
  2. Collect In the Name of the Light or Into the Scarlet Monastery before the run.
  3. Bring humanoid crowd control and watch runners in long hallways.
  4. Plan area damage for the trainee wave after Herod.
Version warning: official Classic Era only. Turtle WoW, seasonal and later-expansion layouts are excluded.

Quest pickup checklist

These are the key Classic Era quests to check before travelling. “Both” means the quest is available to both factions—not that reaching the dungeon is equally convenient.

Role checklist

Tank

Control the route

Mark dangerous targets, use line-of-sight and pause before events. Protect the healer before chasing damage.

Healer

Call your mana

Drink before scripted waves, prioritise dispels and stop impatient pulls while resources are low.

Damage

Interrupt and control

Respect marked targets, stop dangerous casts and prevent runners from collecting another pack.

Common wipe and wasted-time risks

  • Travelling without key access.
  • Remaining in Herod’s Whirlwind.
  • Relaxing or looting while the trainee wave arrives.
  • Chasing fleeing humanoids into another corridor.
