Uldaman

Recommended levels, location and preparation for an ordinary Uldaman group—not a boosted carry.

The short recommendation

Uldaman has a wide level spread, extensive pre-instance dig sites and a much harder final wing. Many groups split it into an early quest run and a later Archaedas run. State the endpoint and do not bring low-40s players to a final boss they can barely hit.

Choose the run before inviting

Early / quest run

Baelog and lost dwarves → Revelosh → Ironaya and nearby objectives.

Full Archaedas

Continue through Ancient Stone Keeper, Galgann and Grimlok to the final vault.

Enchanting trainer

Annora is hidden inside and teaches Artisan Enchanting; clear the scorpion area to reveal her.

Before travelling

  1. Agree whether the run ends early or includes Archaedas.
  2. Collect Badlands, Ironforge/Undercity and neutral chains before entering the dig site.
  3. Keep Gni’kiv Medallion and Shaft of Tsol on the same player to form the Staff of Prehistoria.
  4. Bring a group closer to the upper recommended range for the final vault.

Boss and event warnings

Drop chances vary and rare items are targets, not promises. Compare upgrades for your actual class and level.

Drink before scripted waves, prioritise dispels and stop impatient pulls while resources are low.

Respect marked targets, stop dangerous casts and prevent runners from collecting another pack.

Common wipe and wasted-time risks

  • Advertising “Ulda” without an endpoint.
  • Splitting medallion pieces between players.
  • Bringing an under-levelled group to Archaedas.
  • Opening additional construct packs during an active fight.
