📖 Overview
The Stockade is the most conveniently located Alliance dungeon — it sits directly inside Stormwind City, meaning zero travel time for players doing their Stormwind questing. The Defias Brotherhood prisoners have rioted and taken over the prison, and the city guard cannot retake it without outside help.
As a dungeon it is short and completely linear. The mobs are tightly packed which rewards AoE-heavy compositions enormously. Two custom quests from Turtle WoW extend the replay value. At the right level it is arguably the best XP-per-hour dungeon in the 24–28 bracket.

⚔️ Recommended Classes
Mage is king here — the dense trash packs are tailor-made for Blizzard and Flamestrike. Paladin AoE tanking with Consecration is equally effective. The dungeon is so short that even a suboptimal group clears it in under an hour.

💡 Tips & Warnings
AoE farming: The Stockade has the densest trash in any early dungeon. A Mage pulling entire wings and AoEing them down is one of the most efficient XP methods in the 24–28 bracket. Communicate with the group before doing big pulls.
Dextren Ward fear: Position the group with backs against corridor walls before every pull in the final section. His Terrifying Roar will send players running into fresh mob groups if anyone is standing in open space.
Zero travel time: The Stockade entrance is in the Mage Quarter of Stormwind. If your group is already in the city, there is no reason not to run it between other quests.
