📖 Overview
Gnomeregan is the fallen gnomish capital, irradiated and overrun after Gelbin Mekkatorque's desperate plan to flush out the troggs went catastrophically wrong. The radiation killed most gnomes who stayed while the survivors fled to Ironforge. Now troggs, leper gnomes, and the traitorous Thermaplugg control the sprawling mechanical city.
The dungeon is notoriously long — a full clear with all quests takes 2 to 2.5 hours. The payoff is enormous: more quest XP than any other dungeon in the 24–33 bracket and strong gear rewards. Thermaplugg's bomb mechanic at the end is the most unique encounter in this level range.

⚔️ Recommended Classes
Gnomeregan rewards AoE-heavy compositions above all others. The dungeon has enormous numbers of tightly packed trash in every room. Mage with AoE and a Warrior tank with Cleave and Whirlwind clear rooms extremely efficiently. The Thermaplugg fight requires everyone to understand their button role before pulling — assign it at the door.

💡 Tips & Warnings
Thermaplugg bomb buttons: Assign button-clickers before the fight starts — not mid-combat. Two players handle buttons, three handle boss and adds. Any confusion mid-fight results in bombs going off and wiping the group.
Kernobee escort: The escort quest fails if Kernobee dies. He is fragile. Keep him behind the group and do not pull new packs while he is still moving through an area.
Radiation stacks: The Radiation debuff stacks deeper into the dungeon and reduces stats. This is intentional game design making the dungeon harder as you go deeper. Cleansing gear and strong healing output offset it.
