The route at a glance
Felwood is a narrow north-south progression zone. Start at Emerald Sanctuary, advance through corrupted wildlife and Jaedenar, then finish around Bloodvenom Post and Timbermaw Hold while collecting cleansing supplies.
Felwood quest route
48-50: Emerald Sanctuary
Collect both faction-neutral and faction-specific work, then clear the southern corrupted wildlife and Jadefire loops.
50-52: Jaedenar and centre
Stack demon, ooze and escort objectives. Jaedenar caves punish incomplete quest preparation.
52-54: northern sweep
Move the hearth or flight routine north and combine furbolg, elemental and higher Jadefire quests.
54-55: Timbermaw handoff
Build enough Timbermaw standing to pass safely toward Winterspring, then finish cleansing and repeatable-supply objectives.
Key quest chains worth grouping together
Cleansing Felwood
Cenarion Plant Salve turns corrupted plants into useful buffs and consumables; gather the repeatable inputs naturally.
Jaedenar
The demon campaign goes deep underground. Later stages are far easier with a party.
Timbermaw reputation
Hostile furbolgs block an important tunnel; targeted quests improve access more efficiently than blind grinding.
Travel, hearthstone and handoffs
Core hubs: Emerald Sanctuary · Bloodvenom Post · Talonbranch Glade · Timbermaw Hold.
Take every flight path on first arrival. Bind near the hub serving most current objectives, then change the hearthstone when the quest centre moves. Sell, repair and train during planned handoffs rather than interrupting every circuit.
Common Felwood mistakes
- Running the full zone length for single turn-ins.
- Entering Jaedenar before collecting every relevant step.
- Killing Timbermaw indiscriminately and making tunnel access harder.
Where to go after Felwood
Your best alternative is Un'Goro Crater or Burning Steppes. Changing zone is not abandoning a route; Classic deliberately spreads useful quests across overlapping level bands.
Felwood leveling FAQ
What level should I start Felwood?
The practical range is 48-55. Enter near the lower end only when the opening quests are yellow or green; Hardcore characters should generally arrive later.
Should I finish every quest?
No. Skip isolated, low-drop-rate or elite quests when forming a group or travelling would cost more time than moving to Un'Goro Crater or Burning Steppes.
Is this route for Classic Era?
Yes. It is written for official WoW Classic Era and avoids later-expansion quest hubs and Turtle WoW custom content.
