How Troll feels to level
Beast Slaying applies frequently in the open world. Regeneration slightly reduces downtime, while Bow Specialization supports many Hunter upgrades without making bows mandatory.
PvE
Berserking increases attack and casting speed, with a larger effect when activated at lower health. It rewards encounter knowledge: waiting for maximum value is not worthwhile if it causes a missed cooldown window or death.
PvP
Berserking can accelerate a kill or emergency cast, while Regeneration continues partly during combat. Troll has fewer direct control-break tools than Orc or Undead, so positioning remains important.
Does race choice decide your character?
No. Racials influence optimisation and create useful moments, but class knowledge, gear, professions, encounter preparation and whether you enjoy the character matter more for most players. Choose optimisation when you value it; choose identity when that keeps you playing.
