Scholomance Key step-by-step route
Complete the faction introduction
Follow the Chillwind or Bulwark steps until the skeletal-fragment objective becomes available.
Collect Skeletal Fragments
Farm the specified undead in Western Plaguelands while wearing any relevant Argent Dawn commission.
Visit Krinkle Goodsteel
Take the materials and fee to Gadgetzan so Krinkle can prepare the skeleton key mould.
Forge at Fire Plume Ridge
Bring the mould and required thorium to the lava area in Un'Goro and create the unfinished key as instructed.
Defeat Araj the Summoner
Form a group for Araj in Andorhal, loot the required scarab and complete the final key step.

Is this guide for official Classic Era?
Yes. It excludes Turtle WoW custom content, Season of Discovery changes and later-expansion quest revisions.
What if the starting NPC has no quest?
Check the listed faction and level, then trace the previous prerequisite. Dungeon and attunement chains commonly hide behind an earlier capital or zone handoff.
Can I complete it solo?
Ordinary travel and collection stages often can be soloed. Elite, dungeon, escort and raid steps should be treated as group content at the intended level.
